Balboa Park Mini Session

WELCOME!
I'm happy you're here! Mini sessions at Balboa Park is a favorite of mine and I love returning here every year to capture individuals, couples and families.
It's easy to fall in love with this park once you see all the greenery, stunning architecture, gardens, arches/hallways, fountains, bridges, and much more. Balboa Park truly has a little something for everyone.
This Welcome guide will hopefully help clients learn a little more about the process and provide a few helpful tips before the photoshoot.
Friendly reminders:
*Arrive about 15-20 minutes before your session to find parking and make final wardrobe adjustments. It helps to give yourself a little bit of extra time so you don't feel rushed.
*Sessions will begin on time. Mini sessions are scheduled back to back so we won't be able to go past the end time for late arrivals.
*It's best to give children snacks and naps before driving to your session, if you can! Little ones are often grumpy, confused, and maybe even a little scared/nervous when they wake up to an unfamiliar location and setting. Naps in the car right before a session are not always best. If your little one loves taking naps in the car then arrive a little early to help them wake up and transition. Just a tip!
*If you're bringing snack/treats, try to avoid food items that are colored and may stain outfits and teeth. Sometimes simply talking about a treat they will receive or be rewarded with after the photoshoot is plenty enough and will hold them over until then. That's the plan at least. ;)
*Bring extra clothes for the kiddos. Always best to be prepared.
What to wear
OK, so there are many outfits and styles that work great at Balboa. You can keep it casual or formal. It just depends on the style/vibe you are going for. Click on the links below for a few ideas.
Who can join?
Mini sessions are 20 minutes and surprisingly enough time to capture combo and solo images of up to 7 people. For larger groups please see me for a couple options.
Mini sessions are great for everyone! - Solo, couples, maternity, graduation, families, engagements, and more.
Can pets join?.....Absolutely! Pets are apart of the family too and can join in on the fun. It's recommended to bring a friend who can help watch your fur baby while we finish the rest of the shoot.
What do I do with my hands? How do I stand and pose?
Mini sessions do move along quicker than a one hour shoot, however I will help make this process go as smooth as I possibly can. I will direct the shoot from beginning til end. Simply bring yourselves, whatever energy you have haha, and don't forget to smile and have fun!
AFTER THE SESSION.
Phew. Relax, you're done! Mini sessions will be delivered in just one week or sooner. Yes, the goal is to send these over to you as soon as I possibly can so you can begin using them and sharing. Most galleries will come with a minimum of 20 images but I honestly cannot remember the last time I sent a client the minimum amount. With that being said I always send as many great pics as I possibly can!
